Hi
I got metastatic breast cancer stage 4. I have had breast cancer twice before but this time everything is so much more difficult.
I do not know how I will feel tomorrow or next week so when people ask me “would next friday be ok?” I can not answer them. I try to explain but it is so difficult.
Also what do I answer when people say ”when you get better maybe we can go to….?” Again if I say ”I wont get better”, they don’t seem to understand. So I try to explain and still they are ????
The worst thing is when people say ”Maybe on a good day we could go and see that show”. The thing is a lot of things has to be booked in advance and I can not do that any longer.
Any suggestions?
As I have been living with cancer for a long time, I never agree to a future event without adding "as long as you understand that I.may not be able to make it. I'll have a better idea nearer the time and will let you know as soon as I can if I have to pull out" Frankly, anyone who has an issue with that is not worth bothering about!
