Hi everyone, I'm 54 and diagnosed 2 months ago with mets in both lungs, (worst in the left lung where I had a litre of fluid drained and there's multiple area of cancer along the lining) and liver. Just finished week 3 of palbociclib and was woken in the night with a severe stab of pain in the left back of my lower rib area. As the day's gone on its come on suddenly 2 or 3 times. Not sure if I need to get it checked out ?. Has anyone else experienced this?
Hi cdf
This could be happening because the Palbo treatment is having an affect on the cancer in some way.
If anything 'feels' different you should get it checked out though. Hopefully it will stop those 'what if' worries.
Fingers crossed this is nothing of concern, G n' J
Thank you Dreamthief, it's just typical that something happens at the weekend and having had no other symptoms except fatigue it's given me a fright. As you say, it might be the palbo having some effect, don't want to take up A&E time if it's nothing but if it gets any worse or more frequent I'll call NHS 24 and seek advice
