Hi all,
My sister is starting radiotherapy on her spine on Thursday. She has breast cancer and extensive bone mets. Her cancer is quite active in the spine at the moment and she is going to be receiving 10 days of radiotherapy. I want to get her something useful to help relieve any symptoms she may get. Can anyone recommend anything please? She is 45 years old and 3 years, almost to the date, into her treatment.
Any tips on how to help make her comfortable would be amazing.
Many thanks for reading.

Many thanks!
What a lovely thing to do. I had 5 sessions of rads and my main side effects were fatigue and feeling sick.
For sickness get her some ginger biscuits, ginger chews, mint tea, sugar free mints.
for the fatigue - nice smelling candles helped me relax, I got sent some lovely pjs, a nice blanket, cushion. Basically a bit of pampering whilst lying down!
Theres a lovely website called Not Another Bunch of Flowers that has great ideas.
Hope the rads help your sister xxx
That's amazing advice thank you. I hope your fatigue and sickness didnt last long. I'll definitely take all your advice and pamper her. I will also check out that website.
Thank you so much
xx
