Hi
Unable to swallow solids, only liquids. Having an endoscopy next week, really worried having a tube put down throat will make it worse and wondering if I should request a barium swallow first. Also if I do go ahead with endoscopy whether its worth having the sedation? I hate not being in control. Any advise.
Thanks
Rockfan
Hi
Having had neither an endoscopy or a barium swallow I can't share any experience with you. However, I noticed that your post hadn't had any response. This could be because no one in this group has had these experiences either or just that the person with the right experience hasn't seen your post yet.
While you're waiting for replies you could post your question in ask a nurse and one of the specialist nurses will respond within 2 working days.
When you have a minute it would be really useful if could pop something about your journey so far into your profile as it helps others when answering or looking for someone with a similar diagnosis. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Edit Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what sort of thing to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.
