I'm newly diagnosed and just about to start FEC therapy - I wondered what people's experience of it was as I'm not sure what to expect in reality.
Hi
Sorry to see you joining us here but hope you get to find the support and advice from others in the same boat helpful.
The main issue for most with FEC (3 dif drugs) is feeling nauseous, but if you take the anti-sickness tablets and any steroids they definitely help. It is easier to keep on top of this than to try and stop this after the event so do take any meds whether you feel sick or not.
There is a regular monthly chemo discussion in the Main Breast Group you should get involved with as FEC or EC (same but without the F part) is the most common chemo for BC.
You can find the December Chemo Chat by clicking the coloured text link. Just reply to any of the messages there as an intro to ask any questions you may have - You will soon get several warm welcomes. There is also a chemo tips section in the very first message.
Whereabouts has your secondary bc been found by the way ?
Hope this is of some help for now and that the chemo is kind to you, G n' J
Thanks Dreamthief - really useful advice re FEC and I’ll join the chemo chat group.
Secondary found in right Axilla lymph nodes. Awaiting results of ct scan.
best wishes Kentishgirl
