I have had two doses of FEC now and have been suffering from mucositis and gastritis each time. Following tips I found helpful in relieving the symptoms which may be of benefit to others:
1- Drinking cold milk, milk shakes and pineapple juice helps
2- Eat cool cucumbers
3- Gargle with benzydamine mouthwash
4- Use bonjela for mouth ulcers
5- Sucking cold ice cubes also helps
6- if mouth ulcers persist then you can ask your GP for hydrocortisone buccal tablets
7- for dry mouth salivix plus pastilles are helpful, they are available on Amazon and eBay
