Hi ladies,
I hope you are all well + coping with this very cold weather!
I wonder if you can help me? I have read that L-Glutamine is really effective in preventing neuropathy when on Paclitaxel/Carboplatin for TNBC. I start this combo on the 3rd March + want to give it a go. My oncologist has given the go-ahead + said that even the pharmacist at the hospital has stated that it is very effective but because the oncologist doesn't usually use it, he can't advise on dose or when to start taking it! All very frustrating + not very helpful if you ask me
Have any of you taken it for TNBC + my combo of chemo that can offer advice on dosage + when to start taking it? And, shed some light on whether it has been effective for you?
Thanks so much!
Pip x
Hi Pip,
https://clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/show/NCT02215083
Is details of the regime used in trials. It states 10g 2x daily. As with any B vitamin is a good idea to take a supplement containing them all at least sometimes to prevent a build up of one.
Thanks so much Londonmumof2
Have you used it? When you say take a supplement containing them all. do you mean all the B vitamins or vitamins in general? Will have a good read later x
So far as predicted no change! Will keep doing it for another couple of weeks. I’m wondering if it’s the massaging that helps rather than what you use?
