what happens now?

  • Hi

I can't help with your question but noticed that you hadn't had any replies yet. This is probably because your post has slipped down the list of discussions. By replying to you it will 'bump' it back to the top of the list where it will hopefully be seen by others who have had this treatment.

    Wishing you all the best

  • Congratulations Kimbo56! You did it!

Can’t tell you if it’s the same for everyone but after therapeutic mastectomy  ec-t chemo 15 rads to 3 fields I had a follow up with radiotherapy onc quite quickly, then check up (just exam no scans) with consultant and other onc about a month later.

Have had a couple of phone consults with onc since at my request as I struggled with meds, my annual mammogram and check up was initially cancelled for a year but after I made rather a fuss & it ended up being 2 months late instead of 12. I’m on yearly mammograms  and consultant checks, I have to request to see my onc.

I don’t have a bcn but I believe that if you do, you are able to keep in touch with them.

its all feels a kind of you’ve had your treatment now off you go kind of thing.
