Just came across this article whilst looking for something else and don't recall seeing it posted before. I thought it might be of interest. 

COVID-19 infection can cause chemotherapy resistance development in patients with breast cancer and tamoxifen may cause susceptibility to COVID-19 infection

    I'd take this with a huge pinch of salt. 

  • Hi , thanks for posting this, I’m interested in info re possibility of increased susceptibility to Covid, with reduced oestrogen. I’m not going to stop taking my oestrogen busters (Anastrozole) but I like to be informed. Forewarned etc. I looked at the 2 main authors of this paper and they both look eminent in their fields, both in Turkey and internationally. HFxx

  • The link to low oestrogen was made last summer, and given as one reason more younger men than women are very ill.  I stopped my exemestane in November when it combined with my Zoledronic acid infusion sent me fo A&E with blood pressure of 193/92 approx  and everything spinning for days. They did it was chemically induced and took a short break,  but didn't restart as planned as later that month my daughter caught covid at school.
