Hi Jen4 welcome to the forum. You posted successfully so why not tell us  a bit more about why you have popped in to the forum. Hello to you as well and look for ward to chatting with you when you post again. xx

  • Hi , Welcome to this forum which no-one really wants to join. Are you in touch with your breast care nurse? she can explain your results more fully in terms that you can easily understand.I have read your profile and understand that you are having chemo at the moment. I can't help with that as I didn't have it but I'm sure others will be along to help. You will find that everyone is very friendly and supportive on here and have been there and bought the t shirt so truly understand.Sending hugs

  • Hello Jen,

I read your profile. You have obviously had a rough start with your treatment so I'm glad you've found this site as you will be able to chat to others who are also half way through their chemo. A good thread is the monthly Chemo one as that's where people currently having chemo often post and support each other. At the moment it still says August but next week you will find it under it's September heading.

You may have read that introducing a new format to this site has resulted in some confusion so if you have any difficulties posting,  please keep persevering.

I hope all goes well for your next stage. I was triple negative but my tumour was removed in 2015 and I have been cancer clear since. Treatments may be unpleasant but they do pass and there is much hope for a successful recovery.

    • Take care. Love Karen

    Hi Jen4.

I'm a newbie here too.  Diagnosed with BC (HER2 Positive) in April, I've got my 6/8 Chemo (T, H&P) round on Tuesday, then Surgery, with probably a Radiotherapy chaser.  Spoke to my oncologist on Tuesday who 'mentioned' that I'll be having a further 14 rounds of H&P which I was totally unaware of.  I think it can be quite easy to 'miss' information and maybe the Drs don't say it ALL at once so we don't get overwhelmed.  I'm keeping a book with all my questions in so when I do speak to someone I remember to ask everything thats on my mind.

  • Hi Boj,

many thanks for your reply .
meow ! That’s a lot . I’m on 6 , 3 Fec and 3 T , but because I had horrid side effects with Fec I may only get one T , see how it goes , then op after that . I’m getting my first T right now !
yes , good idea to write questions down before you go ...... my mistake before . Also if someone is allowed with you , they can maybe take notes ... I seem to be very forgetful these days .... I’m blaming the chemo but .... could be my age too !
it’s all a bit daunting and all consuming just now .
    take care
