Hi All,
I found a small lump about the size of a pea some weeks ago, an ultrasound didn't detect anything sinister, my Surgeon performed a fine needle aspiration, results are in with no detectable cancer cells but some inflammation showing in the white cells, he isn't concerned about the inflammation and plans to leave it at that, however, I'm still worried about the small lump, he said its just tissue, could tissue develop into pea size lump?
Hi @Peterwake
I'm no expert, but if an actual expert told me that there are no detectable cancer cells I would be jumping for joy.
Easier said than done, but please try not to overthink things. People find lumps all the time and most of them turn out to be nothing. It looks like you are one of those.
All the best to you x
Hi,
Thank you for your reply. I know what you mean by overthinking things! I'm always on high alert as my BC was missed. I'm just going to monitor and if gets bigger, go back.
Best Wishes.
I'm so sorry you've already been through this. I hadn't realised. Of course you would worry if it was missed.
But I would say this time you are due a bit of a break and hopefully you get it!
Take care x
