  • Interesting paper but they actually state it’s anecdotal evidence only.

  • Thanks for posting this article it is interesting I have asked my BC nurse about drinking milk and they all say have a balanced diet. I am going to print this off and ask my consultant. I drink a lot of cold milk it is the main thing I drink as I have always loved milk. But it does make me wonder.

Yes a yummy looking cake. I read the article about cows milk and can well believe cows milk could cause a higher risk of breast cancer. Cows milk is natures food for baby calves, not humans. Plus the blood, pus and antibiotics that the government allows in milk can't do humans health much good. I became a vegan a few weeks ago, I wish I had gone down the plant diet route many years ago. I might still have got breast cancer, vegans can. I will never know. But what I do know is I feel a lot healthier since giving up eggs and dairy products. And lost weight without dieting. Big bonus.

  • My daughter been vegan for almost 6 years.  Not sure it's healthier as she lives her crisps and sweets!  Her fiancé bought her a box of accidentally vegan sweets for her birthday so she's enjoyed sherbets and chews from her childhood.

i was vegetarian for a very long time until pregnant when I craved meat pies.  While no longer get vegetarian my daughter was raised eating very little meat as ice used veggie mince from the days when you had to soak before use.  She didn't try a steak or mac Donald's beef burger till she was 18 as only ate chicken.  She does miss tuna, eggs and Yorkshire puddings!

Shes asked me to go vegan as she thinks healthier but as I'm type 2 diabetes I can't eat all the carbs and not a huge fan of tofu.  I also have to limit legumes as again they are carbs.  I know that if I stick to protein only and under 30gif carbs a day my blood sugar is normal but I struggle as not a fan if meat and eggs and cheese turn on me if I eat too much.  I can't stomach vegan cheese - the smell is overwhelming!

  • Re cake .  Second one a bit burnt but under the crust is very moist. Vegan Victoria sandwich cakes stay moist for days and have no sickly aftertaste.
