Mine didn't fall out until the very end. I used an eyebrow pencil. 5 years on they are not great and I occasionally use a l'oreal micro blade pencil. If your unit offers LOOK GOOG, FEEL BETTER  sessions they are wonderful

  • Mine didn't start falling out until the paclitaxel,  and 3 weeks after thr last one are still going (left almost gone and right there but thinner). I don't know what chemo you're having , but during 4 x 3-weekly EC I used castor oil initially,  but stopped as it made my eyelashes like spiders and my eyebrow hairs really long!

    I'd say pluck away:)

I can see you've already had some answers here

the only thing I'm going to add is that it is essential to avoid infections

I'm sure the team briefed you on this ?

and you've already got a water infection to deal with

my eyebrows didn't fall out until nearly the end of my 4 x EC and 4 x tax, so yes to plucking but just make sure the tweezers are clean and your face is clean before you start, just do as much as you can to reduce the risks.

my daughter insisted I take my temp several times each day and use copious amounts of antibacterial gels and handwashes

There's also a product called Hibiscrub

The most common source of infections is your teeth / gums, so be extra careful when flossing

The thing is with a much reduced immune system you are less able to fight infections, which can lead to sepsis .

They also like you to drink plenty as it helps avoid blood clots and keeps your veins nice and plump. Eat fruit and veg if you can't face water.

    hugs
