Just finished treatment. Does anyone know How long after breast cancer treatment ends (mastectomy, chemo, radiotherapy) do you get a scan to see if you’re all clear?
First of all well done in finishing your treatment!
I have never been offered a scan....I have been reviewed every 6 months for first year and now annually by my surgeon. I have seen my oncologist every 4 months in the first year but this will be extended to probably every 6 months. I have been told that they are being more vigilant for first two years as I was high risk for recurrence. I am now a year and a half post diagnosis and currently all is well.
in addition, I was told the ct scan I had to plan my radiotherapy was like a check too....
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
