Hi I’ve recently been diagnosed with breast cancer but don’t seem to be getting very far, they think it’s stage 1 but as I’m only 36 they sent me for an mri so they could get a true measurement. I was supposed to have an appointment with my surgeon today to talk about treatment but the breast nurse rang and cancelled it. She said they found something suspicious in my other breast and needed to do an ultrasound before they decide on a treatment plan, has anyone else had this happen and what was the outcome?
Thanks
Hopefully I’ll get the same news, it’s just the waiting all over again. I’m gutted, I thought I’d have my treatment plan yesterday and it’s really knocked me. With Xmas coming up I’ll be lucky to fI don’t anything out before then now xx
I think everyone feels the same, waiting is the worst! I was diagnosed in October and have my operation booked for this Thursday. My timeline was:
23rd Sept routine mamogram
3rd October biopsy
24th October results (two lumps in right breast 1.5cm and 2cm ER positive and HER negative)
13th November MRI on both breasts
20th Nov recall for ultra sound on left re MRI
21st November results
5th Dec pre op assessment
19th Dec Mastectomy and auxiliary node biopsy
If all clear then it will medication only
Will keep everything crossed for you
