Hi everyone
I met the surgeon last week following my diagnosis of DCIS in my right breast.
She has recommended a lumpectomy and breast reduction/ reshape as they need to remove a fairly big area. Then I will need radiotherapy.
They will also be reducing the other breast to balance them up.
I am meeting the surgeon again tomorrow to discuss further and get a date in early/ mid January.
Has anyone else had a lumpectomy and breast reduction and did you have both breasts done at the same time or one at a time? How painful was it and how long did you need off work to recover? I've been told 6 to 8 weeks?
