But not a very patient one!
I've at least got a diagnosis, it's invasive ductal cancer grade 2, but still small, oestrogen receptive but looks as if I might get away with the lymph nodes....and maybe not too much treatment afterwards?
Complex plan, but to begin with, a sentinel node (plus another one or so) removal as day surgery, (a nuclear medicine visit first to get 'the jab' for them to trace) then a gap while that, plus the HER result come back, then because of my previous surgeries for cysts and the fact one resulted in a massive haematoma, therefore scar tissue, I will have a complete mastectomy with an implant. That will be immediately after Easter.
By finding out as much as possible beforehand, the surgeon hopes to prevent too many operations. Obviously I will then need Tamoxifen or similar, so will appreciate helpful advice about that.
But I'd be interested on anyone's 'take' on her plan. I feel reassured that she took time with me, and the BC nurse afterwards spent a good while too.

Today I combined a walk with supporting a local business (butcher) and getting some lovely fillet steak for hubs and my Christmas dinner. Also called in at GP surgery to request some items that are annual therefore not on my repeats list.
and made it home before it started raining, too, bonus!

I walked into town twice. Met friends in quirky mainly vegan coffe shop called "Purple Carrot". Steep stairs not for faint hearted. Its only 10 - 15 mins used to be 5 when I was younger. Then this aft hygienist. Evety little helps! Oh I did some local shopping for presents too.
Today I will vote.
then I suspect a Costco trip will get done.
then I still have two cards to hand deliver......(plus two that I will deliver tomorrow at the appointments I have; both ends; hair and feet!)
thinking of all who have worries, treatments, results, scans etc and sending my very best wishes to all

I’ve been topped and tailed, hair cut and podiatry appointment. I’ve a dreadful tendency to in growing toenails (all of them!) so a 6 weekly podiatry appointment is well worth it as he keeps everything under control! Also means I don’t have to bend double to try and cope myself!

Ah Moomy I know the secret. Two glasses of wine and I can do a full pedicure. One glass and I can clip but not polish. Three glasses and I just sort of splash the polish in the general direction.
Two glasses I can clip sort cuticles, shape and buff.
I the olden days I could put my foot behind my head! I'm reaping the benefits of hypermobility now. The additional factor was a concave stomach!
Happy days
