Hi
Welcome to the forum . I am so sorry to hear about your dad . That is a lot of treatment to endure .
My friend recently passed with lung mets . To be honest hers were not treated for a long time and she remained reasonably active despite a terrible cough . Her lung mets were untreated for a few years she refused all chemo . They were slow growing but when they did start to become an issue they suddenly sped up and she became more symptomatic . Became breathless and tired . She got progressively weaker over two months and lockdown arrived and I could not see her . She went into hospital and was transferred straight to hospice from there . She was there a week and passed peacefully. She had district nurses coming in at home before that to manage her pain meds .
I guess it all comes down to size , location and speed of growth but certainly when the tipping point arrived her abilities changed quite quickly . You might have a feel for how quickly they are growing from his scans .
