Thank you Karen & Polly; I did look on a link and it said if offered take it. It is not a live vaccine. It seems a bit of an debate if cancer patients should be prioritised. I didn’t think to ask anyone before I went, but I did tell them when I got there. I did tell them when treatment finished. Take care and thank you for replying.
Hi Nelly1955
Like Polly I had my vaccine and told the vaccinator that I had had recent treatment for cancer and due for surgery. She checked with a colleague and I was told it was fine to go ahead. I had no ill-effects apart from a sore arm for a day or so! It was over 3 weeks ago now so hopefully my antibodies are active now
Like you say, one thing less to worry about!
