Lovely picture court, there has been some stunning sunrises and sunsets lately, currently tinged with snow here. I am not currently able to go for walks, as looking after the animals takes all the breath I currently have. Not great, but I have to pace myself, and I miss my local wood. BUT I am still here and looking forward to the new year.
I raise a glass to everyone on this forum, as you (we) are all fighters and will get through this, by hook or by crook, and everyone supporting everyone else. Cheers!
Hi All,
Still supping oxygen so must be a good start to the year !!
Cheers with a cuppa, given up alcohol from last March, don't miss it at all so must be good
Please keep that cold white stuff up there, not too bad in west sussex, cold with some sunshine and another day to smile about
Think ice today Technical guru. It rained on top of ice . Time for the skates . But hoping it helps reduce community transmission.Always a silver lining !
Well I signed up for a charity walk over Jan . Might be a bit challenging today but I have been out everyday getting my miles in .
Hope your all keeping well . Just waiting to see what today brings .

Good luck with the charity walk, court, is it one that's so many miles per day?
Well folks, looks like everyone is now locked down regardless of where you live. Had to happen with the numbers, but not really what I wanted.
One silver lining, I got a call from the surgery at lunchtime, offering me a vaccine jab on Thursday!!!!!!!!!! Didn't expect that for ages, must be one advantage of living rural as they must be working their way through. Its the Pfizer one so I guess it has to be used within a certain time. I will let you know how I get on.
Stay safe all.
Ah thats fab Gemmary, let us know how you get on with the jab. I bet that will be a bit of a relief to have it. I read in the paper they were offering the Pfizer jab to people in Kent as tge use by date is running out, I'm glad they are offering it to people lower down the list instead of wasting it.
Hope your enjoying the Charity walk Court. Is that the Hope for tomorrow one? I'm doing that one and loving it although I'm a bit behind on my miles at the moment!
Oh thanks . Doing my best but the icy is not helping . It’s a Maggie’s centre one . You are supposed to run 50 miles but that is not happening. So a group of non runners have said they will do 100 miles but it’s spread through out the whole of Jan . Not too bad really .
Hope you have managed to get your steps up . I love getting out for a bit .
Gemmary great to hear you are getting the vaccine . Other than health workers ours seems to have stopped . Health care workers have had their second dose formally cancelled but nothing else has filtered out .
Hope it all goes smoothly for you . Great news and encouraging too!
Nelly1955 thanks for your good wishes . I think a set of skates would be more appropriate up here just now .
Hope your keeping well . All good here . Mum had a telephone consultation this morning which went well . They are changing her meds around to ease the pressure on her damaged veins . She was happy with that and says “ Hi “ to everyone and sends lots of love and encouragement to all going through treatment .
Take care ,

Well I've had the jab! Seems ok so far, only occasionally the arm hurts, nothing much else. Might be early days, so we will see. Bad news it doesn't seem to affect the shielding, maybe after the second dose, who knows. But I think they don't really know, just as they don't know if it affects the long covid.
But my theory was it can't be as bad as another infection. I will keep you informed, but if offered, go for it. If actively on chemo I think it is different though.
Stay safe.
