Hello All
I have spoken to my Oncologist at last and I am officially incurable with an expiry date of two years. I am starting Folfiri in three weeks hopefully after the peak of Covid19. Then a scan and a possibility of Ablation of the biggest nodule called Trevor. It will mostly be chemo options until I have tried all of them and they stop working.
I am glad that I have had all of my treatment so far, it has given me an extra year of good health but unfortunately it looks like the cancer got a good hold in the form of micro disease before it was found. I may lurk here occasionally but I will be spending most of my time with the incurables group. They are a lovely bunch of folk, wise, funny and inspiring. I hope to face my dragons with as much fortitude as they all do. As they often say, it is about learning to live with cancer rather than dying from it.
I hope that this doesn't depress people. If you catch it early enough it is very treatable and most people go on to live a normal life afterwards
