Been to hospital today, got a bit of good news, my tumour has shrunk a little bit, but still going to need surgery, what i didnt want to hear was, they found minute nodules on my lungs, so that will be checked up after surgery, dont know when that will be, as im waiting for a call from the consultant, just another thing to start worrying about now, but hope its not too long to wait,,,,,,,
Hi
Good news on the shrinkage . Always a welcome sign .
Lung nodules are notorious for popping up and lots and lots of them turn out to be absolutely nothing .
My mum had three . One was cancer and the other two were just nodules . One is 7 mm too and it just sit there and has done for years .
Quite a lot of people get rescanned after three months and they have disappeared . Hopefully that will be the case for you . The scanning machines are so advanced now . When my mum got diagnosed initially they only picked up nodules of around 5 mm . Now it’s about 2 mm . Great for nipping things in the bud but throws up lots of false positives too!
One step at a time and attend to the bowel and hopefully the lungs will be back to normal soon .
Take care ,
