Mum is having puzzling temperature spikes which have been going on for months. Doctor can't work out why....hospital can't work out why....lots of blood tests done....no real cause found. Mum had CRP raised to 100 recently...but dropped down to 10 without any medical intervention....so Dr thought she had and infection but now changed mind. Only possible reason Dr and oncologist have suggested is the mets on her liver causing immune response. Has anyone come across this?? It's annoying as mum needs some scans to find out if liver spots have grown, but when her temp goes up to 38.8 it knocks her out and makes her feel too ill to move. She literally had doctor examine her yesterday!! Unfortunately she is also dpd deficient...and liver resection is on the cards along with maximum 50% chemo. Feeling stressed!!!
