Surgery and Liver mets

hi just want to update. Had radiotherapy back in November and had it rough. But as the days went by it got easier and better. Had my CTSCAN mid February and they saw something in my liver. So they asked for more scans and got a call from the hospital saying the liver team wants a PET scan done. My surgery for bowel dissection is on the 27th of February but will only know if it pushes through after the PET scan results get back which is being scheduled as I post this. It may or may not happen on the 27th. All my symptoms are back now and the feeling of not being able to completely empty my bowels. I am trying to be positive about all the scans and the waiting is killing me now that I know it’s spread to my liver.

Has anyone else experience this.

I think you would need to factor in just how stressful the process is to eliminate or factor in liver mets . There are people like my mum who had no symptoms prior to diagnosis suddenly developed them . There are internal scars to heal and you know what healing is like on the outside . As my mum’s bowel tumour shrank it suddenly gave her terrible problems . We thought she was obstructing . Same with her liver mets . She had tumour encapsulation and it pulls as it shrank . Or so it was explained to us . We were busy thinking more along the lines of accelerating growth ! I know it’s terrible hard not to think the worst but your body is under terrible stress and strain .

It will get better than this .
