husband had op in September saw doc in early December doc please with out come has his first 3 month check in march is it to soon to look at holidays and will his insurance rise a lot
thank you for your input
Hi trca
I hope you don't mind me butting in, as I'm not a member of this group, but I noticed your question on whether it was too soon to look at booking a holiday and whether your husband's travel insurance would rise a lot.
Probably the best person to ask about whether he can go on holiday yet or not is either his consultant or his CNS as sometimes insurance companies will ask if permission to travel has been given. These are some of the things you may want to consider before booking a holiday. It is always advisable to buy your travel insurance at the same time as booking the holiday so you should be able to claim if you need to cancel.
Unfortunately, it can be more difficult to find reasonably priced travel insurance when you have had a cancer diagnosis so could I suggest that you come and join us over in the travel insurance group where you'll find lots of recommendations for travel insurance.
To join just click on the link I've created and once you've done that look for the thread called 'Member's Stories' as it's where the majority of recommendations from other forum members are. Depending on what type of device you're using this thread will either be on the right-hand side or at the bottom.
It is best to phone the insurance companies rather than try and do online quotes as sometimes they can refer to the underwriters to see if they would cover you when an online quote might just give you a straight refusal.
Make sure you have all the information to hand about your husband's diagnosis and treatment before phoning. This is a list of some of the things a travel insurance provider might want to know.
I do hope that you can get some reasonably priced insurance and that you have a lovely holiday wherever you decide to go.
