Im recently diagnose with Colon Cancer stage 3. Last july-oct i was on/off the hospital due to rectal bleeding and pain on my left tummy, Gp visits etc. But none of them dont want to conclude nor think its a cancer . The recent hospitalisation i had we begged them to perform ctscan as my colonoscopy was too far since requested last august. I had ct scan and they found out its tumour. Then i had colonoscopy to take biopsy. They told me they gonna do mtd but i could not wait for it as it flares up again. Back to the hospital again another ct scan done they found out its perfiorated they need to do emergency operation with and thank God i didnt had colostomy bag it was succesfully connected. I also had my chest scan prior the operation which shows clear. Biopsy resulat came last dec 2019, Cancer stage 3 i need to go on chemothrpy with iv drip plus oral. Im still in the state of acceptance and i got a lot of worries.
Hello and a big welcome to the forum .
What a lot you have been through . No wonder you have worries . From a carers point of view you all go through so much physically that I can only imagine it’s after the event that the emotional side catches up .
Some pretty great news in there being no spread . My mum was able to have her Colon reconnected and to be honest rarely has it caused her any issues after the early days . It’s been fantastic on that front .
Still a lot for you to process and get your head round but we are here to help to take your next step into your full recovery . Ask anything you like or concerns you and I can assure you someone here will have experienced some if it .
So glad you reach out and I hope we can be of some help to you .
