  • Hi my hubby didn't get rough skin on his bottom but he did get it on the top. Of his thighs strangely, he used the cream that was prescribed at the hospital, I think it was called aveno or something similar, or he used E45 it did clear up quite quickly. Sorry I can't offer more help.

  • By the way once radiotherapy has finished I think which cream is less of a problem, I think the concern is zinc in some creams whilst having radiotherapy is a no no.

  • Hi . Congratulations on finishing your radio/chemo. As says you are not restricted to your use of creams like you are during radiotherapy. I was given a cream called cavilon during my radio and I noticed them using it on my mil’s sore bottom last week. The cream recommended for use during chemo is Aveeno with Shea Butter which you can usually pick up for £5 in one of the supermarkets/ Superdrug/ boots etc.

Hope you manage to get on top of it

    Take care

    Hi Nan Nan,

Like you i finished my chemo / Radio last friday, I am using a combination of three creams,

    1. Titanoreine for piles.

    2. Vaseline for the general area

    3. Flammazine for the skin that has been burnt from the radiotherapy.

    The above are french spellings.
