Hi
I'm having standard treatment for locally advanced colorectal cancer which I've researched and agreed as I want it the other side asap
However I'm keen to know what positive treatment any if you have had that differs from the standard ie chemotherapy then chemoradiation then we'll see.
Hello Devina and welcome.
Can I ask whether you have colon or rectal cancer? There is a treatment called Papillon but it is only suitable for a certain stage of rectal cancer but there are some on here who have had good results. By alternative do you mean herbal type complimentary therapies? Most of the UK sufferers here tend to be offered the standard treatment of chemo/radiotherapy to shrink then some kind of surgery with or without a stoma (permanent or temporary) depending on size spread and location followed by either monitoring, or more chemotherapy followed by monitoring. If you can give us some more detail then you can get better feedback more specific to your needs.
best wishes
Nicky
