At this precise moment, one year ago, I was under sedation while the surgical team removed the nasty lump of unwelcome doom from my abdomen. I do not know if I would still be here now, if not for their superb skill and attention. I'm not as recovered as I would like. I am exhausted, sore, and generally struggling to manage things I used to take for granted.
But I am HERE!
And I plan to be here for quite some time to come.
One year down. Here's to many more!
