Hi I was wondering if anyone could give me advice please. I had my first chemo and due my second tomorrow. I had a clinic appointment today with the consultant ( another doctor today who seemed a little vague at times )
She asked about symptoms after chemo etc.i asked a few questions I wanted to know answers too.
I was presented blood forms by the lady that did my weight to take with me after seeing the doctor to have bloods taken. While waiting for the bloods to be taken I looked what the bloods test were for- one was bone profile. It wasn’t until much later in the day I started to question why they need this blood test. Is this routine when having chemo does anyone know? just feeling a bit worried now and my mind is working over time
Thanks
Hi ,
Apparently they are just routine blood test for calcium phosphate etc . They keep an eye on everything . Certainly nothing to worry about and part of the blood screens .
You could check it out with your own team but sounds pretty standard .
Hope cycle two goes well for you .
Take care ,
