I had my last Folfox/5FU treatment (7 in total) 4 months ago. I have residual peripheral neuropathy in hands & feet, but just tingling so mainly copable. My other concern is the stiffness in my hands, hips & knees, especially on rising in the morning & when sitting for a while. My hands are particularly bad in the morning, they feel like they’ve been ‘clawing’ like I had when Oxilaplatin. Anyone else had this ?
Hi ,
I can’t shed any like myself but happened to be out with my mum when your post came through so let her read it .
She can relate to the hands issue and over the years it has lessened a bit to the point she can live with it without it being too annoying . Her feet are a bigger issue as she does not feel herself injuring them ! Only noticeable when her toes are cut !
She has not had any joint problems that she is aware off . Although she does have spinal pain .
Has your oncologist shed any light ?
take care ,

Thanks court, the peripheral neuropathy was a bit of an issue during treatment as was the clawing, my Oncologist had warned me, though it got worse after treatment was finished. I’ve had messages from other sufferers who have said it’s eased eventually, so I guess I need to be patient! The joint stiffness is easing thankfully. Do thank your Mum for her comments, hope she is doing well. x
