Capecitabine dosing

Started my first cycle ~10 days ago, Cap 2150mg twice daily and was advised to take 12 hrs apart.

First time today my meals will be ~ 8 hours apart, breakfast and dinner, wil it be ok to take my two doses today this close together ?

Have been managing to have 10-12 hours apart so far.

Hi Stanster, I was told the same as you that the doses should be 12 hrs apart but I struggled some days, especially if I had got up late in the morning and had a late breakfast. Because I didn't want to be eating my evening meal very late I would have my meal at the normal time but then have a slice of toast, sandwich or bag of crisps later just so I had something in my stomach before taking the evening dose.

As far as I'm aware provided you have something in your stomach when you take the tablets it should be fine.
