so another major setback.. kev is back in hospital following a massive fluid build up which has burst through his wound.. which we thought had healed. it has caused a nasty infection, so he is on iv antibiotics while the surgeons discuss what to do next. they dont think he is strong enough to tolerate another op.. so it will probably be back on the drain again.. gutted!!
Hi mandajayne. So sorry to hear of this set back after things seemed to be looking up for you both. Hope they get something sorted quickly for Kev and it starts to clear up.
Keep us all posted
Take care

Sorry to hear this. I constantly worry about getting another fluid build up. As you may recall I did have one myself last December. My drain though was via a catheter which meant that the drain did not have to egress through a wound. Has this option been considered for Kev?
