Hey all!
So I’ve only got 4 more sessions to go!
Things have eased off since I last wrote and have been on the cortisone: no more itchy lady bits and bum bum feeling less aggravated...
i had a period which has been tapering off over the last couple of days with some blood-tinged discharge - nothing weird there... but since this morning I noticed the discharge has become a bit green/yellow?!
As you all know I’m in Italy and my unit aren’t available over the weekend - neither is my GP.
Ive done some googling and have found some reference to “abnormal discharge” as a side effect of radiotherapy but nothing specific. Hubby found an Italian website which referred to “pus like discharge” as a result of radiotherapy being nothing urgent (no irritation and it doesn’t smell) so I’ve decided to monitor and write to my team so they’ll see it first thing Monday. If there are changes I’ll go to my walk in centre...
Just wondered if anyone else had experienced anything similar??

Back from my hols . Giving mum a wee rest now as I think we exhausted her . Ha .
Are you nearly finished ? Don’t want to miss the final count down . The discharge sounds rough but I can only imagine the body does try to respond to the wound that is left or the damaged tissue . Trying to repair itself . Hopefully not infection .
Not long now till you see your friends and family .
Take care ,

Bless you for replying court
i trust the holiday was good and you’ve come back all nice and refreshed :)
so the discharge seems more “normal” now .. I only have 2 more sessions to go (yay!) but wow, the last 2-3 days my bum (just between my cheeks) is red raw!!!! I’m using the cream my unit gave me but wow...! Now I understand all the “blowtorch ass” references?! I know it will improve with time but it’s quite irritating!
Anyway, the important thing is, in 2 days, I ring the bell (not that they do that here in Italy) but I will be celebrating believe me!
Yay countdown to see my family now as well, I’m so glad I booked that trip now I’ve a goal it feels good :)
hope everyone is doing well

Hey Sami, make sure you take your own bell, even if it is a cycling bell, good luck. Cheers John. Xxx
Hi Strongsami, glad you seem to be feeling better, and almost there now, my husband had his last session yesterday so no appointments now for several weeks. As John says get your own little bell to ring, we raised a glass last night to celebrate the end of this part of the journey.
are you flying back home from Italy? Enjoy whatever you do.
my best wishes to you
process xx
Hi strongsami good luck for your last Zap tommorrow that means just 4 Zaps left for me . I too understand the blowtorch arse it feels like I'm passing shards of broken glass seeing the oncologist tommorrow see if there's a stronger cream to sooth it.
Love Peacock62 xxx
Good idea !!!! I have to see what I can find! Last one tomorrow! I’m sore, my stomach feels constantly bloated and I’m pooing for England (and Italy!) but it’s the last one tomorrow and I feel VICTORIOUS!!!
Thanks for your support xxx
Yippee. Delighted for you

Thank you process and congrats to your hubby! How is he feeling?!
I really want to celebrate in some way...
off to the Uk in a couple of weeks to see my parents and friends, just me and my 2 year old - really looking forward to it and hope all side effects will have calmed down by then
best wishes to you and your hubby too!!
Xx
Hey Peacock62!
Thanks for your message! Gosh I sympathise with your bum... argh... I’ve had a couple of crying sessions on the loo but the actual pooing has improved since they put me on cortisone... now it’s just the skin between my cheeks that’s cracked and raw... but... remember... it means it’s doung something, I’m trying to tell myself it’s “good” pain. You ask your team for anything to help you. Do not suffer in silence... and... you’re nearly there!!!
Lots of love and soothing bum vibes
