Hi,
I’ve had a cough for a few weeks now. Saw my gp, had a chest X-ray, results tomorrow. He seems to think I’m fine, everything sounded fine when he listened to my lungs. However, last few days, cough marginally better, but I still can’t breathe properly. And today, I’m really hoarse when I breathe in, he’d definitely hear that! I’m terrified of getting the results tomorrow. But I’m also terrified that it’ll come back as normal because an X-ray isn’t enough to show anything suspect. I know it’s really irrational. I’m just so fed up of my my breathing, constantly trying to clear my throat, feeling tight and bloody coughing!
Hi Jmas ,
Can I ask if it sounds like a wheeze when you breath in . Almost a slight rattling sound ?
Having managed my sons asthma for years you sound just like him . Sounds almost like adult onset asthma . A persistent cough goes with it . That’s how I know he needs to take his inhaler. Chest tightness and pollen count affects him too . His cough gets worse at night .
Just throwing it into the mix and off to do a google search to see if it can be chemo induced .
take care ,
