Hi I had capacytabine and oxyplatin until Nov 2016 I have pins and needles in my feet and shoulder pain that keeps coming back.and the last few months I seem to have tinnitus it's like being in a room full of crickets does anyone else have these sorts of things going on thanks.
Hi Dukescmd
Sorry to hear you are having theses problems. I had the pins and needles (peripheral neuropathy) but didn't experience tinnitus although I have heard other speak of it.
You may find that both these problems will fade over the next couple of months, but do mention them to your oncologist or cancer specialist nurse on your next follow-up appointment (if that is due soon) or telephone your nurse to discuss the problems with her.
Macmillan have a help and support line, the number is 0808 808 0000 available Monday to Friday 9:00 am to 8:00pm and you can ask to speak to a nurse.
Unfortunately, for some people peripheral neuropathy will continue after treatment. My chemo finished in 2012 and still have it, it is a nuisance but I have learnt to live with it. Hopefully yours will get easier and disappear over the next few months.
Take care,
VickiLynne
Thanks I had to stop chemo early as it was getting too much with the cramps and aches.
Dukescmd.
