Hello there -
My brother (23y) has been diagnosed with Fibroblastic Osteosarcoma and has few skeletal metastases as well. The scan shows that the type of bone mets is sclerotic, so I understand it's of the type Osteoblastic. I have read that Zoledronic acid helps in preventing skeletal events, mostly in case of osteolytic mets. Will it be of any help in case of Osteoblastic mets too? Anyone out there who knows anything about this? Appreciate the help.
Regards,
Guy
Hi Guy and welcome to the online community.
I'm sorry to hear that your brother has been diagnosed with fibroblastic osteosarcoma and it's natural to want to research treatment for him.
I can't answer your question and don't have any experience with zoledronic acid but noticed that your post had gone unanswered. However, I can see that you also posted this in ask a nurse and one of the nurses has replied. If you haven't seen her answer yet clicking on this link will take you there.

Thank you very much for your concern and response. I did get a reply from the nurses and it did help me to a certain extent. Thanks again and have a great day!
