This is all very new to me...
My partner was diagnosed with osteosarcoma aged 19, and had 2 rounds of chemo and limb sparing surgery over 6yrs ago now. A few weeks ago in his routine, now yearly, chest x-ray, he was found to have a single tumor in his lung. We have been told he won't need chemo for this and it can be removed with surgery.
There are many positives with this (single metastasis, they aim to 'cure') but it has come as a massive shock and I feel that the world has been pulled out from underneath me. As we had not met when he had his original tumour, I am finding this particularly hard. One of my biggest concerns is that it has been so long since his original tumour was removed, we had thought we thought we could relax and now it has left us wondering whether this is a one off or whether it could happen again in the future...
Has anyone else had metastases from bone cancer many years down the line?

I'm sorry to read that your partner has recently been told that his bone cancer has spread to his lung and it's natural to feel as you do.
I had a different type of cancer, so don't have the experience you're looking for, but I noticed that your post hadn't had any replies yet. Responding to you will 'bump' it back to the top of the discussion list where it'll be more easily spotted.
