Pre-op date and Op date next week

Hi,

I am somewhere around the T2 stage which is good news as contained to the bladder wall.

I have been waiting on the Urgent list for RC illeal conduit op which I was told I was a suitable candidate for Robot Surgery, I had a call out of the blue yesterday to say it’s all planned in for next week.

I am now feeling anxious about having it done and pray everything goes smoothly, lots of things running through my mind and felt physically sick this morning. Forecast for Snow next week and the mind runs wild, will I get there ok? Will the Surgeon be able to get in? Will it be cancelled etc etc

Hi,Welcome here.There are several of us here who have had the RC Ileal conduit surgery and can help answer any questions you have.It is daunting to face a big op,I remember how terrified I was feeling before mine.I was helped so much by joining this group and I hope you will be too.We are all here to support you before and after surgery.Love and best wishes.Jane

It's only natural to have that last minute panic. All you can do is get everything ready on standby & keep fingers crossed! Hope all goes to plan.
