Has anyone here got 2 nephrostomy bags? My son's kidney's aren't draining properly and he has to have 2. He hasn't got bladder cancer. He had rectal cancer and has a stoma. His ureta was cut during surgery.

I am Jamie one of the online community champions. I habe seen you have not had any reply yet. I am hoping my reply will encourage others to come along and offer support.
I am sorry to hear they had cut his urethra during surgery I assume. He will require 2 as the kidneys would not be able to drain the urine through normal function. If there are concerns about them draining or having issues, it might be beneficial to contact his urology team who are able to offer more specific advice.
It might be worth joining the kidney cancer forum as others in this group my have experienced nephrostomies due to being kidney related too. I have included the link here.
If the question is more medical then you could try asking a specific medical question to one of online nurses.
