Tinks5, I'm so sorry to hear that you & your family are going through this. I can't be of much help, although my dad died from lung cancer many years ago, so I do have some understanding. All you can do is be there for your parents. There will always someone to support you here at Macmillan. Hopefully someone will be along shortly with more support for you & your family x
I’m so sorry to hear about your Dad Tinks5. My mum died of bladder cancer 29 years ago today as it happens and it is hard.
It’s good that you have got the hospice involved, hopefully they can keep him pain free. You could try ringing a McMillan nurse, they are very helpful and may be able to answer your questions.
All you can do is support your parents as you are doing and get as much help as you can.
Luce x
Hi Tinks5, such a hard time for your family. The hospice teams are brilliant so I hope you are getting lots of help and guidance about what to expect as the disease progresses. Your parents are so fortunate to have you to care for everybody. I'm sure it eases their anxieties just to have you around. Hope you are able to find time to look after yourself too in these dark days. Sending love x

Dear Tinks5, maybe teaching granny to suck eggs but have you registered as a carer with your local Carers' Association/ If not please do. You can do it by phone and who knows what help they may have to offer. If you have already registered, have you updated them about your Dad?
Thinking of you all, Denby
