  • Hi Deliprint, I'm sorry to hear you have had upsetting news. It feels like you have had a deluge of different treatments and input from a range of professionals. It is very positive that the professor at LCH has experience of your specific cancer, and that you have a video appointment so quickly. I hope you will get a chance to ask the questions you need answers to. Have you been introduced to a CNS (clinical nurse specialist?) yet? I was allocated a CNS at my first bladder cancer diagnosis meeting and she has been a marvellous sounding-board and support every step of the way since. Sending you love. xx

    Hi

Thanks for the reply yes I have been in contact with my nurse she is very nice I got the video call next week and an op to remove the tumour so I am  a lot more hopeful then I was I convinced my self I was about to die any minute do you mind me asking what treatment you have had

  • Hi and a welcome to the group from me. Most of us here know what a cancer diagnosis feels like and we understand how you are feeling. The op to remove bladder tumours (TURBT) is usually straight forward and done in either day surgery or an overnight stay, possibly longer. I had 6 weeks of chemo. It is difficult to predict how people will react to the treatment as everyone is different. I was fortunate not to have any real problems, while others had nasty side effects. Most people are somewhere in the middle. It can be a long day with chemo, so wear comfortable clothes and take plenty of snacks and drinks and something to keep you occupied. Get some good quality mouthwash and use regularly to help prevent mouth sores. If you click on any member name or picture, you will see treatments people have had in their profiles. Best wishes.

    Best wishes to All,   rily.
