Had the ultrasound scan today of my kidneys and bladder he didnt say anything just that he will send the results to the specialist that has requested them.

  • Hi Chrissy. Try not to read anything in to things. These people never commit themselves to anything one way or another. They just prepare notes for the docs.  More waiting unfortunately. Hope it all goes well. Best wishes.

    Best wishes to All,   rily.

  • I agree with rily. The radiologists never commit. They just put their findings in a report for your doctors to interpret.

The start of my journey was a scan on my liver but he had a look around as well.

The only thing he said to me that there was a polyp on my bladder and to see my GP in a few days when they had the results. Next morning my GP rang and said they wanted a fast track referral.

  • Totally agree with rily, they never tell you scan results. I've had two, both clear but I had to wait to see consultant to find that out. xxx

  • Thanks to you all for answering me the waiting for results is the worst part of all this xxxx

  • Also, you can't tell anything from their demeanour or time doing the US. Sometimes they whizz round confidently, others they seem to take ages (which always makes me think 'what have they found'). Even when the radiologists report some abnormality, the urologists often say they're perfectly happy with it.

  • Hi Chrissie, I was wondering how you were doing.  I had my ultrasound today, of course I asked if they could see anything, she just said naaaa.  Usually they're quite snooty I've found & refuse to discuss.  Mine was very quick compared to previous, it made me think that she'd spotted it right away as it was so big, or perhaps there was nothing there.  Everything crossed for you xxx

  • The waiting time is the pits. Hope you get your results soon xx

    I know that I don't know
  • I had 'something unusual' spotted during a scan post op. Later, my oncologist told me the 'something unusual' was on my very first scan, was the same size 3 years later and therefore nothing to be concerned about.

He said also, that if I feel ok, look ok, have no symptoms of anything and am not losing weight (unlikely at any time!) then the chances are that I am ok.

    I'm still ok now.

I may appear to be listening but in my head I'm all at sea.

  • What was it then CB?

The Uro mentioned a possibility of a kidney stone when I had my Flexi, but I only remembered that 2 days after the Flexi, of course I imagined it was him prepping me for kidney cancer.

  • Hi Everybody still no results thanks for keeping in touch xxx
