Morning,
Having started large dose of chemo on Tuesday, i hadnt been too bad until last night. Just before falling asleep i had dreadful pains in my head. I dont get many headaches and nothing ever as frightening as this. Had to get emergency advice. They think dehydration, i had a few tests done. Im drinking loads today but if anyone has similar experience it would be appreciated.
Thanks
Sue.
Hi Sue . It is not uncommon to have headaches or any other strange after effects of chemo. As you have been told, dehydration is common and you need to drink about 2 litres of water during the day. Mild headache tablets also help, but if things don't get better or get worse, you should have a contact number on your chemo record to call. Best wishes.
Hi Sue
Good advice from rily there, as always.
I had chemo for breast cancer years ago & there was indeed some strange side effects, one girls tongue went black! It's only after you've had your treatment that you realise that the chemo caused it.
Take care x
Try Robinsons Lemon Barley Water. Someone online suggested it to me and it does make drinking lots much easier.Hope your're feeling a bit better now.
