Awaiting turbt on 7th. Pre op this Friday. Im feeling really down, anxious and overwhemed. I always feel better later in day but mornings are a real struggle.
Good Morning CurlySue123. This miserable weather doesn't help with people's moods. Windy and raining here again. Took the dog out for a very quick walk. Just a pee and a poop walk. Got wet again.
Pre ops can be very reassuring. It gives you a good idea of your general health. Nothing invasive, just blood pressure, heart check, bloods and lots of health questions. It is also a good time to have a good chat with the nurse about how you are feeling. Things are happening for you now, so something positive to focus on. Best wishes.
Took the chocolate Labrador for his constitutional this morning and got a soaking. Just back from a game of golf howling winds with torrential rain at times. However nearly two and a half years when I was first told I had bladder cancer I wondered if I could ever play golf again or walk the dog again. But here we are plodding on. The pre op as Rily says is a general indication of your health and is nothing to worry about. The Turbt is a start on the road to recovery. I am overwhelmed when I visit the dentist or my GP. Going to hospital is always daunting but try and think positive.
