Awaiting turbt on 7th. Pre op this Friday. Im feeling really down, anxious and overwhemed. I always feel better later in day but mornings are a real struggle.

  • Good Morning . This miserable weather doesn't help with people's moods. Windy and raining here again. Took the dog out for a very quick walk. Just a pee and a poop walk. Got wet again.

Pre ops can be very reassuring. It gives you a good idea of your general health. Nothing invasive, just blood pressure, heart check, bloods and lots of health questions. It is also a good time to have a good chat with the nurse about how you are feeling. Things are happening for you now, so something positive to focus on. Best wishes.

    Best wishes to All,   rily.

  •  Took the chocolate Labrador for his constitutional this morning and got a soaking. Just back from a game of golf howling winds with torrential rain at times. However nearly two and a half years when I was first told I had bladder cancer I wondered if I could ever play golf again or walk the dog again. But here we are plodding on.  The pre op as Rily says is a general indication of your health and is nothing to worry about. The Turbt is a start on the road to recovery. I am overwhelmed when I visit the dentist or my GP. Going to hospital is always daunting but try and think positive.
