Hi,I was just about to phone the hospital regarding a urology appointment on the 26th May when they rang.My urologist Is going to call on that date,my last letter said he would see me in July.I‘m glad I don’t have to go to the hospital as they still have virus cases.Love to you all.Jane xx
Thanks Liz,The appointment is with my lovely local urologist. When I saw him earlier in the year he said he would follow me up every 4 mths.He sent me a letter with the ct scan results but we haven’t discussed them.I’m a bit concerned as I’m in a lot of pain around my hips, especially the left.Last time I spoke to mum she said her stomach had been painful.I hope the staff are keeping an eye on her as she had a stomach bleed a few years ago.I hope all is well with you and your family ? Love Jane xx
Hi Jane. I hope all goes well with your appointment. Just being able to talk to a doctor will give you some comfort. It might be an idea to write down any questions you may have beforehand so as not to forget anything. Best wishes.
Hi Jane, sounds like your hospital is open for business too. So good when the hospital actually phones to make contact with you, so reassuring. I guess they will have to rethink every system hospital wide to keep everyone safe. Video or phone consultations may well become more common. Long as you get any answers you need, I guess it saves a journey. Best wishes for yours x
Hi H,I presumed that the May appointment would be cancelled and that the next would be in July. The hospital have had a few Covid deaths recently. It would have been difficult to get over to the hospital in person.I can’t drive and the bus service has been slashed.John usually takes me to appointments but he is in the very vulnerable group so at home.Love Jane xx
I do think that the phone appointment can work out much better for a lot of people, hopefully it will be a thing of the future. Gosh imagine having a family member doing surgery whilst the surgeon instructs them over the phone. MrB would love it & buy every book possible & YouTube like mad on the subject.
Hope all goes well winkers x
