Hi everyone, it has been a long time since I have been on this forum in fact it's 2 1/2 years since my op to remove the cancers and 21 BCG treatments. Today I had a cystoscopy and was told that I had a recurrence on the posterior wall with necrosis on the surface and red area around it.
Due to Covid-19 and the surgeon wearing a mask and visor making it difficult to hear what he said, plus general shock of the diagnosis I did not ask what necrosis was. I know I can phone my specialist nurse on Monday but in the meantime I wondered whether anyone had an answer as if the past you were always so helpful.
I hope you are all well at this stressful time.
Hi Nanasue. Nice to hear from you again but sorry to hear of your recurrence. I had necrosis showing up on one of my flexi scopes. It shows up like a white patch. I was told it was basically dead tissue as a residue of treatment. I was booked in for a rigid scope as they wanted to scrape it away to make sure nothing nasty was lurking beneath it. Fortunately all turned out to be ok. I am sure they will sort you out. Best wishes.
