Hi everyone
I have got myself into a state despite good news from a check cystoscopy last Wednesday. On Thursday I started with soreness and discomfort and by Saturday night this was worse and my wee had gone cloudy and bubbly. When this has happened before I have some reserve antibiotics to take and within 2 days it is clear again. But each time a path lab sample shows no infection. This time with a have dip sticks, I had very high leucocytes but that is all.
Despite the antibiotics and no infection the bubbles and murkiness are persisting and no-one seems to help, even the specialist nurse. Now the antibiotics have finished and I am still worrying and want to know if this is normal sometimes following a cystoscopy.
Has anyone else experienced this I wonder. I had a urological ultrasound in December so there is nothing else going on. Any comforting words??
Thanks

Hello Mary Q
I have never had your exact symptoms but following my last deep cystoscopy I went and played golf after a couple of days and continued to walk a boisterous and demanding chocolate Labrador. I had a few scary days peeing blood and being uncomfortable. Blood test was negative for infection. My specialist nurse, god bless her, told me to sit in the chair for two days, relax and not to strain my body in any way. That worked. Maybe you have been overdoing things slightly? Don’t forget to drink litres of water to flush out the system. Ring your specialist nurse or GP if conditions continue.
Good luck Garviv

Hi . Just to echo what Garviv says. Some discomfort following a cystoscopy is normal. If you are sure there is no sign of infection or blood, then dark urine could be an indication of dehydration. Keep drinking water regularly throughout the day. It may be an idea to drop a sample off at your GP for further testing to be on the safe side. And as always, if symptoms persist, contact your medics. Best wishes.
We have a soppy Spaniel and two Lhasa Apsos, they helped me to get over the mental wobbles post treatment. Recommend anyone who doesn't have a dog to borrow one and take it for a walk.

PS - don't forget the poo bags!
I may appear to be listening but in my head I'm all at sea.
I'm happy to lend my pup to anyone who has no sense of smell. Cant imagine anyone else would fancy "eau de fox poo"
Oh dear, very allergic and wary of the four-legged friends everyone has !!! But I did get results back from lab and as I thought I wasn't taking perfect anti B for the bug, so now on different one so fingers crossed and a lot of sleeping going on. Should always go with gut feeling and not listen to 4 different people telling me different things. Started the Box Set of Lewis I got for Christmas!
By Monday I hope to be feeling better and the long weekend will be over...
Thanks to everyone
