Hi everyone,
I went for a rigid cystoscopy yesterday, I have already had 2 before but when they went in yesterday my doctor found a lesion that was new and wasn’t there when they last looked a year ago. He did a biopsy and has sent it off for a histology, I’m really nervous this is going to be cancer. Has anyone else had a new lesion grow and it turn out not to be cancer? Thanks
I think you'll find that most active posters here do have or have had cancer (or are related to a patient). Those who have scares like yours are unlikely to hang around the forum if all proves well. There certainly have been some false alarms here.
The most important aspect is that if it is cancer, it's been detected & addressed. Many of us still here years after diagnosis as bladder cancer is very treatable. I'm afraid you now have an anxious wait of a couple of weeks or more that we are all familiar with. Keep us posted!
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
