Immunotherapy

Hi all,

after an initial immunotherapy failure resulting in being referred to the oncologist for radical cystectomy i was persuaded to try further immunotherapy. This I did. I restarted with six, had a six week break and then a further three maintenance treatments. Went in for the camera today with the usual trepidation particularly as I didn’t have the usual side effects with the last three treatments , but the outcome was surprisingly positive. The bladder cancer (cis) had gone. I still can’t take it in after so many disappointments. I’m aware it could come back of course and that i have another two and a half years of further immunotherapy ahead of me. However, after 12 years of constant recurrence I’m feeling very thankful today. Special thanks of course to all those in the NHS that have cared for me over the years past and those to come and to those that have answered my questions on this forum.
